Just a quick update:
Spent the last few weeks organising tours and getting ready for my girlfriend Emma to get here. Its been great and there are dozens of tour operators out there looking to take your money. Some of the tours seem a little too good to be true! I may be going to Spain for a week for about $400 AUD all inclusive! That's flights as well! Nice. I will drink my body weight in local beer... and eat Paella till I look like a local!
I have been doing a little touring around London, but nothing too crazy! A big night of drinking with some new found friends, dancing in a shop window in the middle of Oxford Circus at 1 in the morning! A wasted trip to get a Chinese Visa I don't actually need. Oh and a trip to the massive garbage tip (watch out for the claw!) not a couple of miles from Big Ben. It certainly is a large Ben...maybe even a great Ben....but Big? Just doesn't do it for me. Sounds like someone is maybe overcompensating...

Now you may have notice me mention my beautiful girlfriend is coming here to London for her first ever trip to Europe. I can't wait to see her! It's actually been 120 days now since I saw her! That's a lot of night left to my own devices. I have missed her terribly and woke up this morning thinking "Yay! One more sleep!" But no, can you believe it... a Typhoon has ripped through the Philipines! Devastation and damage everywhere...but most of all... flights have been cancelled and Emma may be late by a day or two! Seriously. WTF! I have waited a little while no...got a nice hotel booked for her to (Ahem) rest and sleep after her long flight. Can't cancel it either. But I can change my $250 hotel room dates if I pay another $400. When these people talk I don't think they actually listen to themselves. So even if she can't get in tomorrow I will be heading for the hotel! Ummm... left to my own devices...again.

Anyway back to the story: it looks like a flight up to Sweden and a car trip across to Norway for the first week. Then another flight down to Poland and Germany for some family time. I have some great cousins in Poland and can't wait for a big catch up. Last time I was there in Poland I got the "Why aren't you married?" conversation in more than one language! This time I can show them that I am at least making an effort! My family in Poland are all awesome and I will tell you more a little later. Then from there we may go to Greece before embarking on a bus tour around Europe. Throw in a pinch of Ireland and Spain and we should be done! Though I have to admit 8 weeks is a long and a short time. So plans will change, I have no doubt.
Another little travel tip is to buy clothes at Vinnies or some other charity place. Great clothes! And you don't care if it comes back with you!!
