Bel Aire Princess Hotel is in Bangkok in the district of Nana off of Sukhumvit Rd. The district has many hotels, bars and restaurants. The location of this hotel is excellent as it is a 5 minute walk to the Nana Skytrain station which will take you to many other tourist areas of Bangkok.
I have stayed in this district a few times and I find it easy to get around and my favorite hawkers stalls are only one street away in Soi 7 where you can get great inexpensive local food. While I was there the hotel was being renovated so the rooms are now considerably different to when I was there, but I can say that the service and the food in the predominately Indian restaurant I found very good. The thing I liked about the hotel was the pool which was on the third story. In Bangkok more than any city I can think of, you need a pool at the hotel because Bangkok is one of the hottest hell holes I?ve ever been to. The ability to get back to your room and spend the next 2 hours floating around a pool was a godsend.
Price
Prices have increased somewhat since I have been to the hotel due to the refurbishment, a twin room on special is US$85. Looking at their website the rooms look to be good quality. This hotel is now out of the budget range of hotels in Bangkok but if you are looking for good quality in the US$80 - $100 range this maybe the hotel for you.
Verdict
I liked it better when it was US$50!
